Overview
Not for the faint of heart, this 1.5-hour ghost tour of Edinburgh promises to deliver spine-chilling paranormal frights. Edinburgh’s brutal and bloody past has resulted in a heavily haunted present and this tour takes you to some of the city’s most haunted locations. Under the cloak of darkness, you’ll visit a graveyard and descend to the underground vaults that snake beneath the city. Hear vivid tales of torture, murder and body snatching, and enjoy a heightened atmosphere on this small-group tour, limited to 15 people.
What to Expect
Greet your guide, dressed in period costume, at a central Edinburgh location in the dead of night. Immediately, your master storyteller will launch into spine-tingling tales of Edinburgh’s dark and desultory past.
Follow your guide through shadow-shrouded wynds (narrow streets between houses) on your way to a graveyard famous for numerous ghost sightings. Weave your way between headstones and hear terrifying tales of the restless souls that reside here.
Next, descend to the underground vaults that reside beneath the city; in dimmed light, you’ll step tentatively through narrow passageways while listening to tales of torture, murder, witchery, cannibalism, and body snatching.
After 1.5 hours of frights, ascend from the vaults and bid your guide farewell.
