Greet your guide on the Royal Mile and escape the tourist trail to discover Edinburgh’s deepest secrets on this underground walking tour through the Edinburgh Vaults. These infamous vaults fill all 19 arches of South Bridge in Edinburgh’s historic Old Town. As you walk, you’ll learn the hideous conditions in which Edinburgh’s poorer citizens lived during the 18th century.

Descend into the dark, dank vaults and learn what it was like to live in the darkness—and which criminals sought their prey there. You’ll explore candlelit Niddry’s Wynd, visit a witchcraft temple with a haunted stone circle, and brave the Haunted Vault, where a myriad mysterious events have occurred.

What made this most enjoyable was our guide Edgar! Great storyteller and he looked the part for a Ghost and Ghouls tour! A cross between Russel Brand and Dracula! Extremely talented guy! 5 Stars for this tour and Guide! Not so sure if we didn't...More

Went down with Tuesday on Monday

Great tour with Tuesday who took us underground in the vaults. Lots of history and information and understanding of people's levels of apprehension. Real value for money.

Money well spent

Our guide, Tuesday, was a very well informed and interesting tour guide. She made the experience spooky and thought provoking! This was a mainly historical tour, capturing the atmosphere admirably! Next visit we’ll take the longer evening terror tour! Recommend Auld Reekie!

Not bad

The effort these guys put in doesn’t go without notice. The sceptics (of which I am one) will no doubt whinge up a storm. It’s a bit cheesy, but you can’t fault a passageway, from another century and it’s actually really scary.

Hi, to my knowledge the answer to this is NO. I think the way the tour is structured it's not really appropriate for dogs
