Giant's Causeway Tour from Belfast

Save time as well as money as you enjoy sweeping coastal views on this 10-hour Giant’s Causeway guided tour from Belfast. Besides Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll see Northern Ireland landmarks like Carrickfergus Castle, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and the Bushmills Distillery, as well as several Game of Thrones locations.

What to Expect

Your first stop along the scenic Antrim Coastal Road is beautiful Carrickfergus Castle, a 12th-century Norman castle that’s one of Ireland’s best preserved. Savor startling views of the Glens of Antrim as you pass through quaint hamlets and market towns like Glenarm, Ballycastle, Carnlough, and Cushendall.

Next, stop at the vertiginous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge that spans the gap between the mainland and the tiny island of Carrick-a-Rede. From here, it’s just a short journey to the Giant’s Causeway, the geological and mythological wonder with its hexagonal basalt columns: you can buy lunch here or bring your own. Follow in the footsteps of the giants of Irish folklore, and see if you can spot the Wishing Chair or Giant’s Boot.

After learning the history of these ancient rock formations, you’ll visit the Dark Hedges, which you may well recognize as the Kingsroad in Game of Thrones. Finally, you’ll travel inland back to Belfast, returning at 6:30pm or 7:30pm depending on season.
