Game of Thrones and Giant's Causeway Full-Day Tour from Belfast
From US$47.25
Overview

Combine a comprehensive Game of Thrones–themed tour with a visit to the Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on this full-day tour from Belfast. Leave the navigation and driving to someone else while you enjoy the scenic ride and listen to behind-the-scenes gossip and filming facts from your guide. Convenient pickup and drop-off from central Belfast makes for a hassle-free trip.

What to Expect
Start your tour with convenient pickup at a central Belfast hotel, where you'll board your vehicle and meet your group. As you travel, hear about the show's history of filming in Northern Ireland.

You’ll see Cushendun Caves, where Melisandre gave birth to the creepy shadow child, and Ballycastle, where some of Varys' scenes were filmed. Stroll down the Dark Hedges road, used as the King's Road on the show. Journey on to Larrybane Quarry and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, both used in several scenes. Listen to behind-the-scenes facts about the show from your guide.

After lunch (at your expense) in the fishing village of Ballintoy, travel to the Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the geological formation of the unusual basalt columns and the legends of giants they inspired.

En route back to Belfast, relax and take in the views before downtown drop-off.

Well worth it, beautiful, interesting and fun

The places visited on this tour are very nice, and it must be even more special if you can relate them to GoT. The driver Derek ensures the fun in between places, it truly stands out from bus tours.

An interesting insight to the world of Westeros

If you're driver is Derek, then you're in good hands. He's quite entertaining esp for the long journey ahead. Highlights were the Giant's Causeway, and the Carrick- A-Rede Rope Bridge climb (need to pay additional for this). It was also nice that there were photo...More

I can only highly recommend this tour, especially if you get the coach driver Derek, he was so funny from the outset. He kept us constantly amused with his 'dad jokes'. The stories, some factual, some folklore and some he just plan and simply made...More

So, the tour can run a little late. Lots of variables to consider: traffic, weather, ect.. The tour should end by 5 and they do a great job at keeping you on schedule, but there’s always Murphy’s Law. I’d ask the company... More
