Great time, a lot to see
The tour was really good. This was described as a tasting tour so you see the three spots, but you will be a bit rushed at each of the spots. Nevertheless, the the tour was still nice and our tour guide, James, kept us informed and entertained the entire time. The views are great and even though we experienced a bit of rain, it was still an amazing time

    Great tour and storyteller!
James and Luke the chauffeur made an excellent duo! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing James's stories throughout the journey—he's a fantastic storyteller. Overall, it was a very well-organized tour, and I would highly recommend it.

    Great Tour with James!!
James took our tour last minute as Matt had an allergic reaction. We are so thankful James said he would be our guide. This was my first bus tour and he set tje standard very very high for future tours. His knowledge and ability to keep the attention of all passengers is a special gift. Can't say enough about him. Very personable and interested in his group. Lucas, our driver was trustworthy, and handled the bus like a pro during an intense thunder and lightning storm. 5 Stars!!!!

So we booked a Sunday at 11.30 right as changing of the guard was starting so crowds were horrendous but we joined the queue at the gate we needed to. We did move quickly through to a waiting area which got very busy.
We also had a autistic teen which was known on the ticket, the crowd for the entrance to security just kept getting busier. After the 100th warning about no photos past this point amd what should be taken out of your pockets for security we were finally allowed through to security which did a great job and very quick.
Now picked up a audio guide and off we went. It was the hottest day of the year and wow did we know it walking round there. Every room over crowded and absolutely red hot. One girl who worked there had the fan blowing directly on her and nothing else in the room.
It's a shame you can't take any photos at all whilst being inside.
The paintings were great the palace was stunning and massive. The audio guide was good didn't waffle on and if you missed something you could go back to it.
Heading out of the palace we headed for the cafe which was absolutely rammed no seats at all ( which is no good) when you're fed up off the heat and had no where to sit inside the palace because any seating was already taken. So we headed towards the garden with a refillable bottles of water priced at (£3.50 each and 2 victoria sponge cakes smaller than size of your palm priced at £8. My son who had had enough of being too crowded and too hot went and sat on the edging of the grass which is a piece of concrete edging and was quickly told off by a the female version of terminator who was then told by myself that he needs to sit down and there is no seats she wasn't interested at all after she ran after another tour group of kids who were doing the same. After this we'd all had enough and set off for the royal mews which is a good 30 min walk back to the entrance of Buckingham palace with no shortcuts.
Gift shop staff need to be a bit more polite I paid there hourly wage with just one pen they could at least smile.
We did stop at the ice cream parlour on the way out the ice cream was nice and not that expensive £4 amd 50p extra per topping but wow get some more staff on on busy days.
Buckingham Palace if you read this.
1. Get more seating (on busy days)
2. Stop getting the rooms so crowded it's not enjoyable
3. Have a shortcut to get to the royal mews for people who have tickets there afterwards
4. More staff on the ice cream parlour
5. Explain to the female Terminator in the garden to change her attitude people need to sit down and I'm sure King Charles would rather some one sat on the edge of his lawn rather than passing out on it, she could be setting up more chairs for people instead of telling people off.

Souvenir refillable bottle is great and at £3.50 a bargain as I refilled this when we went into the Royal mews.

Buckingham palace was an experience that I wouldn't do again but it's nice to say I've been inside Buckingham Palace.

We’ve visited several times before but this time it felt very crowded and a bit like a cattle market. We specifically wanted to see the Coronation robes. The Queen’s gown was stunning and the intricate embroidery can be seen close up. Disappointed that all the King’s robes of state weren’t on display, would have liked to see the supertunica and the timeline of what was worn when. The young staff at the cafe overlooking the gardens were doing their best but it was chaotic and £18.90 for two cups of tea and two scones with jam and cream was a lot considering they were served on paper plates with plastic cutlery, everything single use which didn’t feel very in keeping with the King’s Green credentials. Toilets were good!

This was my second time routing the palace. The last one was almost a decade ago, but I recall it not being as hectic as this one.

The tickets were a bit of a hassle and also pricier through Trip Advisor. We paid $75 each in advance and they were 33 pounds if we bought them at the palace. Lesson learned. Also, they told us we had to print them. Who has a printer or access to one on vacation? We went to a print shop, but it didn't matter because the link was broken (face palm). Once we arrived, we had to queue in two separate lines to get sorted. As I said, it was a hassle.

The tour currently has a room with coronation gowns and related content in it and that was interesting. The rest of it was fairly boring, to be honest. Perhaps I recall it being better when I was there 10 years ago.

Hey, if you've never been, you should see it. The changing of the guard walking tour is only 20 pounds and was far more interesting, so I recommend that one, for sure! (Fun London Tours). As for the palace, buy your tix there because they are far cheaper.

We did the state rooms tour in early august. If you pre-book your tickets online, a souvenir book is included which has photographs of all the rooms. The tour is self-guided using their audio guide system, which is included with the ticket. While it was quite busy, this was by far the best excursion we booked on our trip and I would highly recommend. Everything was very well organized, and you were able to move at your own pace spending as much or as little time in each of the state rooms as you’d like. Even if you’re not super into the royal family, the history, architecture, artwork, and overall experience is absolutely amazing. At the end of the state room tour, there is a cafe and gift shop in the palace gardens. The prices were comparable to other tourist attractions, and the food was excellent.

Well worth a visit and the staff were very friendly especially those outside the entrance fielding the questions from all the visitors. There must be a better system than queuing up twice, once to exchange the voucher for a ticket and once for the entrance, effectively double handling each visitor. The queues were enormous stretching right back to the front of the palace, so we entered way past our entry time but the staff did really well herding us in difficult conditions. Lots to see and the audio guide is a must, highlighting the main exhibits in each room. I did miss one or two at first but was able to backtrack despite the hoards of people and was always able to see the exhibit clearly. The only real confusion came in the picture gallery where it was hard to find the painting that the audio guide was talking about. The gardens were nice and the garden café a welcome retreat at the end of the visit. Overall lots to see, very opulent if not gaudy, you must go. Your ticket can also be transformed into a one year pass by having it stamped at the end of the visit for free.

St James' Park Tube station is the closest with approximately 10 minute walk to the entrance. We booked online and arrived before our designated time to allow us to get our tickets from the designated gate - all entrances are beside each other. You go through security and get an audio guide which you follow at your own pace through each of the rooms - it can get busy, but it was manageable. You are not allowed to take photos inside. The rooms were very impressive as is the art and architecture. King Charles' portrait by Jonathan Yeo is on display also which was very impressive. After the self guided tour we stopped for tea - this was definitely on the pricey side, but it was nice to sit and relax and look out on the garden. There is then a 10-15 minute walk along the path to exit the grounds.

Great tour of rhe state rooms within the palace.
Tou also get a chance to see and walk in the gardens
You enter ro the left of the Palacw as you view it and would suggest buying . times slot before arriving.
Getting in wasn't too bad, but we had a pre paid slot time.
Be aware at the end of the tour, you will exit into Groavenor Place and close to Hyde Park Corner. If you want to see more of the front, then don't do this before your tour as it's 15mins+ back to the front.
It was worth a visit, but we felt overcrowded and would have been a better experience with fewer people and more information on the audio guides
Nonetheless still very historical

The tour (self guided with optional headset) was extremely interesting but the entrance process was awful. I adhered to the advice posted on the website and told my family not to bring large bags (backpacks) or purses as the website clearly states they are not allowed in and nor is there anywhere there to store them - what a complete load of nonsense. There is in fact a separate line inside for large bags which are allowed in and include all those the website says do not bring. In addition, once you enter the entrance area, absolute chaos ensues. There is little seating provided and almost no A/C whilst they make you stand and wait for what seems like an eternity but was certainly 15 minutes until they start letting people in. On the day we arrive, one lady even fainted from the heat. The organization is appalling with what appeared to be teenagers seemingly running things and with no idea how to deal with the crowds. If you go, be prepared for a terrible initial experience. Once in, the state rooms are extremely interesting and they have a cafe to enjoy at the end.

My mom and I went on the State Room and Garden Highlights Tour and had a lovely experience overall. We arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, and the line and security check were quick and smooth. While we weren’t allowed to take pictures inside, we ended up appreciating that it helped us fully experience the tour. The audio guide was divided into short sections, making it easy to stay engaged while exploring the rooms, which were fascinating. Despite the number of visitors, it didn’t feel crowded.

After the State Rooms, we sat at the palace café before the garden tour, though it was a bit pricey for what was offered, especially the takeaway afternoon tea. The garden tour itself was less exciting for me, as the guide wasn’t very engaging, and there was no photography allowed either. We finished by browsing the shop, which was also on the expensive side, but still fun, and we ended up buying a few things. Overall, it was an interesting and enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Visited here on Sunday 14 July. We really enjoyed our visit. It was so interesting to see and we had wanted to visit for a while. There was a lot of people there however there was space to view all the various rooms. There were staff dotted about in various areas who were happy to answer any questions. I really enjoyed seeing the portrait of King Charles in the ballroom. The gardens were spectacular. We visited the cafe snd ice cream parlour and i would recommend the ice cream it was so tasty.
We changed our tickets on exit to 1 year passes so hopefully we can visit again as it is somewhere thats worth additional visits.
