Chauffeured Punting Tour in Cambridge
US$14.57
Overview
The River Cam winds by the rear of some of Cambridge’s university colleges, revealing perspectives that visitors sometimes miss. This chauffeured, shared punting trip takes you past key landmarks like the Bridge of Sighs and King’s College Chapel, and provides running live narration as you relax and enjoy the scenery. Plus, by booking the trip in advance, you're likely to save money on the on-the-day ticket price.
What to Expect
Travel independently to the River Cam departure quay at a time that suits you during the operational hours. With your pre-booked ticket, join the next available tour, settling onto your shared, chauffeured wooden punt. If it’s cold, you'll be given a cozy blanket to keep you warm.

Your chauffeur steers your boat past seven of Cambridge’s famous college 'backs,' including St. John’s, Trinity, Trinity Hall, Clare, and King's and Queens'. Admire the scenery and take photos of sights like King’s College Chapel, the Bridge of Sighs, the Wren Library, New Court St. John’s, and the Mathematical, Clare, and Magdalen bridges.

As you cruise, the chauffeur charts the university’s history from the 13th century, and points out the buildings’ most notable architectural features as you pass.

After the allotted time, your trip ends when you disembark at the departure quay.

Dane was very good.

What a lovely way to spend 45 mins. Fun, interesting and relaxing. Top tip. Take cans of gin and tonic (other drinks available) with you for an even greater experience.

There is no ramp to the boats but someone can be physically helped onto a boat. But it is advisable to call ahead and discuss before booking. Hope this helps.
