Wonder, informative and fun tour hosted by the city's BEST guide!!! We opted for a private experience over the 40-70 person bus tour. It was worth every Euro cent. Younes picked us up at our houseboat accommodation on time and in a very nice luxury automobile (BMW 5-series). We liked him instantly. We found him to be personable, engaging and knowledgeable every step of the way. Our trip was unrushed and tailorable. It had a definite "more or this less of that" vibe based on our interests. Not only did he display excellent historical and cultural knowledge, he also explained the technical aspects of windmill operations allowing me to completely "nerd-out" on the iconic structures. I don't know which one joyed more, the truly amazing tour, or meeting a new friend and learning about his family and comparing world travel experiences. He even took great photos of us along the way! A very memorable experience. Bottom line at the bottom: amazing excursion with an equally amazing and personable guide (now friend).

Amazing! Younes is an excellent private guide. Picked us up by where we are staying in Amsterdam. Wonderful drive in a luxury car. Beautiful views. Awesome wind mill history. Wooden shoe presentation. Milk cows being milked by a machine. Cheese tasting. Then lunch by water; catfish and chips; delicious! Younes is a super nice and friendly guy. He is so knowledgeable of everything! Beautiful weather! Unforgettable Day!!!

The views were great. The food was great. Our tour guide and driver was fantastic. 10/10 for Elias. I had a wonderful time. Between the cheese and clogs and windmills, I am really glad we got Elias as our guide. Truly a great driver and very knowledgeable about the city.

Elias is amazing! We were picked up promptly in a very nice clean Mercedes van. Our guide, Elias, had thoughtfully brought water and umbrellas. We toured the beautiful Dutch countryside (and yes windmills), wooden clog making demo, cheese (from cow to finished product), fisherman’s village and wharf, and a local Dutch lunch (lunch price not included, we knew this). Elias was knowledgeable and was able to give us a history of the areas we toured and answer all of our questions. He adjusted the tour to our preferences and to the weather and went out of his way to be a thoughtful guide. You could tell he was well respected by how he was greeted by the locals. 110% recommend you do this tour if you can and ask for Elias you won’t be disappointed.

This was a wonderful tour of Amsterdam’s countryside. It was nice to get out of the city and see windmills, wooden shoe making, a cheese factory and a seaside village. Younes, our guide was fantastic. Full of information and wonderful insights into the history of the area. I would highly recommend taking this tour to broaden your experience in the Netherlands.

Elias the tour guide was amazing, he was very knowledgeable and made the whole tour very interesting and fun There were 8 of us and we all had a great time The cheese factory and the windmills we very interesting One of the best tours of this trip

Younes arrived right on time. He was very friendly and outgoing. Right away we started chatting about our love of travel. We went to see the beautiful windmills, watched clogs being made and then headed to the cheese farm. Tasting some amazing cheese. Younes recommended a great restaurant for my lunch in a small fishing village. During my tour he was not only my driver, guide but personal photographer. I never felt rush during my time and could take as much time as I like exploring. A wonderful morning spent.

The highlights for us were learning how wooden shoes are made and watching cows drop by the barn to be milked mechanically at the Henri Willig farm. Volendam is the perfect site for fresh seafood by the Markermeer. The best part of the tour was our driver, Younes, who literally steered us toward the most interesting parts of this tour. His insight on Amsterdam as we drove through the city to the countryside was most informative. He answered every question we asked about language, skating on the canals, the occupation during WWII, and local culture and its impact on some of the homes we saw etc. We mentioned an interest in sampling some Indonesian cuisine and he had a recommendation near our hotel. This is a great tour choice and don’t forget to ask for Younes.

Driver was very professional. Came in a Mercedes and suit. The clog shop was closed so I was a little disappointed. Not the drivers fault though. I feel it was a little over priced but really a good trip.

Wow! We booked this morning tour for 6 adults. Perfect van picked us up at the hotel ready with water and umbrellas. Our guide was fantastic - he shared information and clearly knew so much about each stop. We never felt rushed or confused. The windmills were so cool to see up close, clog making shop was so interesting, and the coastal town visit was perhaps our favorite as we walked through and made our way to the water before we were given time to do our own thing. I would absolutely recommend this private tour to any small group looking to avoid sightseeing with a group of strangers - it was truly a highlight of our trip.

Very good tour, we extended an hour. I probably would have looked inside all windmills if we had more time but got to see in one and also see how the shoes were made. We were happy to see the dairy farm and taste the cheese. The little city by the pier ‘Volendam’ was quaint and we enjoyed a lunch outside on such a beautiful day. Thanks for a wonderful day!!!

Driver was very friendly and knowledgeable! He was just perfect for our small family group! The time spent at each destination was right! We would highly recommend!
