The guide’s name was Liz and she did an amazing job to bring us around the hidden alleys and the hype cafes of Auckland. She did the three hour tour at a very very manageable pace and we were given very detailed information about the local food, buildings and what we can look out for. I thoroughly enjoyed the company and the laughter. Liz was very mindful of my halal-dietary needs when we stopped at the cafe and chocolate shop. Awesome experience, will continue to support this female-founded business.

Such a fantastic food and fam tour of downtown Auckland! We ate at 5 locations and each one had a story and the portions were very generous. Liz was an amazing guide and I appreciated her professionalism. I definitely recommend this tour if you love good local food.

We did a private walk with Liz and she was terrific. She was able to answer all of our questions, took us to areas both historical and recent, snd demonstrated a keen appreciation of her country including all of the various groups who make up New Zealand. I booked a small group walking tour of Auckland with Liz ,the founder of Aucky Walky,and Debbie, her associate, rather than book a shore excursion with the cruiseline. It was a most enjoyable 3 hour walk (including a break in a 1930's restored hotel). We covered an area from the Port to Auckland Town Hall and we learned a lot about the area and visited spots I would never find on my own. Both Liz and Debbie know the city and directed us to places to eat and shop when the tour ended. I highly recommend this tour. It ranks as one of the best walking tours I have booked in my travels

Perfect way to discover Auckland at the start of a holiday. Liz and her trainee Nina were so friendly, knowledgeable, interesting and obviously proud of their great city. They showed us around the lesser known areas of the city, places to shop, eat, view art etc. and whilst the whole tour was on foot, it felt very easy and the time flew. I’d highly recommend it - we’ve come away with a better appreciation of the city, its history and now have some great ideas about what to do for the 3 days we are here!

We booked this tour on the day of our arrival after a long flight. The timing of the tour in the afternoon was perfect. We like to find a good walking tour to shake off jet lag and hit the ground running. Liz was a fantastic guide and shared her great knowledge of the city, it's culture and surrounding areas too. The food stops each had a different vibe, had good variety of food and drink and were well planned. Every venue gave us a warm welcome and had reserved seating for our group. Liz also gave us some recommendations for places to check out on our own and even some secret places that would have been hard for us to find or even know about on our own. Book the tour, you'll love it!

We very likely would not have experienced the restaurant, pub and local food shops she selected for our tour. She was also very generous in sharing her knowledge on everything Auckland & New Zealand. Thank you to Liz of Aucky Walky for showing me and my USA soccer fan friends a wonderful time! When I was doing some Women’s World Cup trip planning I looked at walking/food tours and Liz was highly rated. This winter is usually off-season for her so I’m glad she opened her arms and the city to football fans. She pre-arranged solutions for food preferences or allergies when I asked in advanced and all the food, was fantastic and local. We learned about the history of NZ, Auckland, and her experience as someone who’s grown up in a city she adores. We had only landed from a very long flight at 5:30AM, so tired, and somehow she kept us going through the afternoon and into the evening with a great tour and friendship.

Wonderful tour with Liz. She is knowledgeable and lovely to tour with. She knew our whole group's names immediately, and was willing to answer all of our questions throughout the day no matter their topic. The food - my goodness! Delicious at each stop, and plenty of it. Make sure you come hungry. Great to visit some hidden gems and all independent eateries, and to get a sense of the city at the same time.

Both my husband and I truly enjoyed our food tour with Liz while we were in Auckland. Her choices were phenomenal from the first stop to the last with a tasty Hokey Pokey work of art! She provided us with a reference guide to use when searching for places to eat. She also shared all of the New Zealand things we must try….which we managed to check off most of them! She was a joy to hang out with during our tour! Would highly recommend her and Aucky Walky! I would suggest trying to book at the beginning of your Auckland visit because she is a wealth of knowledge!
