Cage diving with great white sharks including transportation from Cape Town
From US$212.87
Overview
Spend time watching one of the world’s most feared fish on this 4-to-6-hour cage diving experience in Cape Town. Travel to the ocean off the coast of Gansbaai for a full-day tour. Learn about great white sharks from your marine-biologist guide, and then dive into the water in a cage to observe sharks in their natural habitat. Breakfast, snacks and hotel-pick up and drop off are included.
What to Expect
This exciting shark experience begins from your central Cape Town hotel.

Start at the Great White House, Gansbaai’s shark diving center, where you’ll eat breakfast, and meet your guides for the day. After eating, get fitted into the appropriate diving gear.

Climb into the specialized diving boat, complete with a shark diving cage, for the 20-minute trip into the ocean. Your captain heads for Dyer Island, choosing an ideal place to stop for the dive.

The cage is secured to the side of the boat, and during the cage dives it stays a few feet (meters) below the surface of the water. This means it’s easy for you to get out of the water at any point when you want to.

The boat stays anchored in this diving spot for roughly two hours, depending on shark activity. During that time, there are drinks and snacks for you aboard the boat. After the boat returns to Gansbaai, enjoy light refreshments back at the Great White House. You can choose to buy a professional video of your shark cage diving experience (own expense).

Your experience concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Cape Town.

Well organised but falsely advertised. If you want Great Whites GO TO MOSSEL BAY INSTEAD

I feel I am only repeating what previous reviews have said but feel useful for anyone considering this dive if you are expecting to see Great Whites, which you most likely won't. I completely understand its nature and uncontrollable from Marine Dynamics, what annoyed me...More

Hi, we are sorry we were not able to show you a white shark this time around. We have had a few white shark sightings this January and we do encourage people to continue to visit to see our copper sharks which are also amazing....More

Beautiful Copper Sharks, No Great Whites

This would be a 5-star review had we seen a Great White. The staff was friendly and professional, the equipment top notch, and I’m confident that Marine Dynamics is the best shark diving company in Gansbai. On Dec 30 2018, no one in the area...More

No Great Whites, Seasick People, Bird Poop, 2.5 hour Drive from Capetown.

OVERSELL. I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere that has clear water and you can free dive. I saw Nassau Shark Diving and it looks AWESOME. Marine Dynamics has updated their website, but when we booked, it said 90% chance of Great White sighting. Since Orca...More

There are relatively few places one can shark cage dive with white sharks in the world. In fact, we made an infographic about this a few years ago – it can be viewed on our website homepage. White sharks can and do return just as...More

No Great White Sharks, but still good!

First, the most important thing. I expected to see great whites and I didn't. That in itself completely diminished the impact of my experience. It obviously wasn't the company's fault, but to a certain degree, because they knew we would not see great whites. These...More

I think they may refund your $, but not 100% sure. They will try to get you out another day, but if you can't reschedule they way refund your money. They are quite accommodating and reasonable.
