Overview

Taste your way across Ile d’Orleans on this leisurely food and drink tour of the countryside. Rather than planning and navigating on your own, follow a guide to locally loved producers of Quebecois specialties, including chocolate, ice cider, wine, and blackcurrant cassis. Hear commentary about the area along with way, and don’t worry about indulging too much, as you can relax on the ride home while someone else drives.

What to Expect

After being picked up from near the Chateau Frontenac, take a short, scenic ride to the nearby Island of Orleans. Avoid the hassle of renting a car or planning a trip on your own—instead, relax and let the guide navigate for you.

Once on the island, visit 5 establishments where you sample a variety of Quebecois specialties, including handmade chocolate, ice cider, and cassis.

Stop at a vineyard for a wine tasting with views of the Beaupré coast, and then continue on to a sugar shack to learn about the production of maple syrup.

Your guide ensures you leave the island with proper historical context and an understanding of the region overlooked by many visitors. For your convenience, the trip ends back at the tourist information center, where staff are happy to provide further recommendations for your visit.

Thank you Simon for being a wonderful tour guide. Stopped at a chocolatier, nougatiere, winery, cidery and a cassisiere. If you like wine and cider this is the tour for you! The purveyors are informative and friendly, and the products are delicious!
