Taste your way through Jean-Talon Market and beyond on a Montreal food tour that explores the up-and-coming Mile Ex neighborhood. You’ll visit a series of six eateries for a fresh, insider look at the Montreal food scene, from diverse flavors to farm-to-table cuisine, learning about Montreal’s vibrant communities along the way.
What to Expect
Start with Montreal’s biggest market, stepping into Jean-Talon’s maze of local produce, maple syrup, and specialty foods. To keep the experience up to date, the guide will choose (at least) six favorite stops for tastings, while introducing the diverse traditions of Montreal food.

After exploring Jean-Talon Market, continue through the city streets, pausing for a tasting at a hole-in-the-wall Salvadorian place. Here and throughout the tour, take advantage of the small group format to ask plenty of questions about Montreal culture and food, getting tips on where to eat, drink and explore in the city.

Following the tasting, keep walking through hip Mile Ex, where startup craft breweries share space with longtime neighborhood favorites, then finish the tour at the edge of Little Italy, the place where in-the-know locals head for the city's best pasta and Latin American shops.

Definitely worth doing

Definitely not your standard foodie tour. The girls took us to places I wouldn't even have known were there. Really unusual places but great food. And they shared many stories about the area. A great afternoon.
