    What to Expect
Board an open-air zodiac-style vessel at the Victoria harbor and settle in for your 3-hour whale-watching cruise. These boats are equipped with bright yellow inflatable collars and a stable design that cushions your ride and guarantees maximum buoyancy even if the sea conditions are rough. These specially powered boats can cover over 100 miles in one trip, maximizing the distance you can travel on your tour and the amount of time you are ultimately able to spend viewing whales and other marine wildlife.

On your 3-hour cruise, travel along the protected waters of Haro Strait and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, making stops at several points of interest. The boat will be positioned parallel to the animals, so you can enjoy fantastic photo opportunities. All the while, you will be fully entertained and educated by the industry’s best marine adventure guides.

All passengers must wear a Mustang Survival flotation suit for their entire cruise. These suits are designed to protect from cold weather and use closed-cell foam to offer flotation in the event of an emergency. There is a large inventory of flotation suits of varying size and can accommodate all ages. There are also changing facilities and lockable storage on board for your convenience.

We were both greatly disappointed in this excursion. We have done whale watching in Alaska and this was not even close. We saw about three whales at a great distance away. You would need binoculars to see anything. This was really a glorified speed boat...More

Russ took us out on the zodiac and went right to the hot spot where they had been sighting them the past few days. Little did we know that we stopped almost on top of two whales. They surfaced about twenty five feet from our...More

Staff were very friendly and informative. The pre-brief was good. The zodiac is a good way to get up close with the whales (safely) and we saw a number of Killer Whales on our tour. The boat does go extremely fast though so be warned...More

When we did our tour it was raining and it went ahead. Like all of these type of tours I’m sure if the weather was very bad it wouldn’t go ahead due to safety reasons. I would contact them directly to find out what their... More

I don’t think there’s room, and everything would get wet. Better to cover your camera with the plastic zip-closed bags they provide and leave the backpack in the lockers in their changing rooms.

I don't think the time of day matters as much as whether other skippers have reported whales in the vicinity. Our trip was at 11 a.m. Our skipper had information that pods of orcas had been spotted in one location, then got... More
