Overview

Experience the beauty of Banff National Park in the winter from the comfort of a coach. You won’t believe the pictures you can snap as you discover the Rocky Mountain park under the cover of snow. Frozen waterfalls, ice on a mountain lake, hardy Canadian wildlife, and a castle in the snow are all waiting to reveal their icy beauty to you!

What to Expect

The winter sun rises in Banff National Park around 8:30 am, which is the perfect time to see wildlife and set out on a Winter Wildlife tour. Meet your motorcoach in the center of the Banff townsite behind the Mount Royal Hotel. From there you’ll head out on this 3-hour adventure to spot elk, deer, and bighorn sheep. Along the way you’ll stop at Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel called the Castle in the Mountains, hoodoos, and Bow Valley lookout.

Learn about the history and geology of the area, as well as the special adaptations the mountain animals have made to survive life in the tough Canadian winters.

Finish the tour with a cup of hot chocolate and a light snack and a drop off at the spot you met 3 hours earlier.
