Bacalar Lagoon Sightseeing Boat Tour with Snorkeling, Open Bar
US$35.00
Overview
Cruise the Bacalar Lagoon to the Black Cenote and Cenote Esmerelda on a half-day snorkeling tour of the spectacular ‘Lake of Seven Colors.’ You’ll pass through the Pirates' Channel, pause to make mud masks from sulfurous mud, and slip into the water to snorkel at both cenotes. Before returning to shore, navigate to the Island of Birds, a haven for some of the migratory birds that flock to the Bacalar Lagoon.
What to Expect
You will meet your guide at a central location in Bacalar. From there, take a boat tour and cross the channel of the pirates. You will have the opportunity to make an exfoliating mask with sulfur mud. You will also pass through the Bacalar Coast where you will visit the "Cenotes Line".

You will visit the “Black Cenote” which is an open cenote with a depth of about 185 meters where we will prepare a picnic of fresh fruit for you. Then, visit the “Cenote Esmeralda” with a depth of 65 meters and finally the “Cenote Cocalitos” where you can see stromatolites that are known as living stones and are considered as the oldest form of life in the planet. Finally, you will visit the Island of birds. The tour includes snorkeling equipment, life jackets, fruit, snacks and drinks. It begins at 12pm and it's 3.5 hours long.

Bacalar Lagoon Sightseeing

This is a tour handle by 2 teenagers. You can clearly see how inexperienced they are handling a large boat. We were cut in a storm and the way it was handle was very unsafe. They need experienced adults handling the tour.
