Rent your own private long tail
Tours are overly crowded long tail boats. Rent your own private long tail for around 2000BT per person. If you want to snorkel or walk on the islands you need to spend 400bt for National Park pass.

Good day but could have been better..
We really enjoyed the day as a whole and saw some unbelievable scenery. The crew and tour guide were great and the lunch better than expected. But the boat was over crowd. Although enough space it was packed to the limit. 36 people on the boat when 25 or so would have made the journey far more comfortable. Also not enough time on each island. Felt rushed to appreciate the beauty of each island. Having said this we did enjoy the experience and had a good day, just could have been better.

Highlight of Krabi
Family
The 4 island tour by long tail boat was a fantastic experience. The driver and tourguide made us feel comfortable and safe while we were in rocky conditions. The 4 destinations that we visited were absolutely beautiful and 100% worth the visit. Be prepared to hop in and out of the boat from/into knee deep water. Weather was fabulous on the day we went and the water is the perfect temperature to swim in. Favourites were snorkelling at chicken island and princess cave island.

You get what you pay for
We did the four island tour by longtail boat with this company. I would not recommend it. We were crammed into the boat like sardines, so crammed our shoulders were scrunched up for entire tour. They rush you from location to location and once you get to an island you have very little time before you have to rush back to the boat for the next island. Every island is overpopulated with tourists. Overall this was not an enjoyable experience and I would not recommend it for anyone to do while on vacation/holiday. The old adage of you get what you pay for rings true for this tour. It was very cheap for a whole day tour (500 Thai baht) and by the end we realized why. Overbooked and rushed.

good day, poor staff
Let me just start by saying that the islands were beautiful and we did have a lovely day. However, none of this was due to the staff and company. After we were treated like cattle in the waiting area, there was then not enough space on the boat for us to sit in seats under shelter so instead were forced to sit on benches in direct sunlight all day. These seats were evidently not intended for customers and so we were constantly asked to stand up and move out of the way on a moving boat which didn’t help the sea sickness suffering among us. Furthermore, as a result of our makeshift seats, whenever information was delivered to the group explaining what was next going to happen, we were completely ignored unless we directly asked when they would flash a piece of paper in our direction with a time on it and that was it. The food was also subpar which we could have dealt with if were the staff hadn’t refused us seconds or a larger portion of the edible parts so that they could then gorge themselves. All round our experience was not quite what we were expecting and had been promised but we had a good day nonetheless.

Day well spent
Basically the tour comprises of island hopping, beach walking, swimming, snorkelling and lunch. Tour can be booked locally from shops on Walking Street or from the hotel reservation desk. Overall well coordinated but would be even better if the locals/guides/boat-operators could speak more English. Also don't forget to apply sunscreen.

Outside hotel the same is available for 900 to 1000 bhat
Be ready to get wet here, water comes inside the boat every 5 seconds and you are bound to get wet wherever you sit, so dress in sleeveless / sarong and beach wear

Railay Beach
Beautiful beach with some high tides. Went swimming here with life jackets and therefore were able to enjoy water to fullest. The island is also known for rock climbing. There is a cave of princess where you can offer prayers, the same is on the beach itself.

Poda Island
Enjoy lunch from tour operator and enjoy the beach for quick swim.

Hong Island
Travel between two island from a sand bay, feels like walking on water. Unfortunately for us due to high tide the sand bank was submerged in water.
Enjoyed clicking some beautiful photos and a quick swim.

Chicken Island
Island with a small part looking like chicken head. Take photos from the boat only. Followed by snorkeling and swimming around boat in life jackets.

We were back to land by 2.30pm and hotel by 3pm.

Inconsistent. Experience depends on company
This trip seems to differ depending on who you book with as about 10 different boats of size and style operate this tour every day, with different guides, lunches, snorkel gear and of course, quantity of people in board. We managed to haggle the price at a travel booth in Ao Nang for 750 baht each for two of us, including national park entry.

Shop around as this was the fifth stall we tried. Average price is around 800 with the highest being 1,200! Keep in mind that there is a 400 baht charge included OR excluded so if a seller quotes you 500 baht for the trip, the overall cost is 900 once you arrive at the trip on the day. So ours was 350 + 400 fee = 750. This included hotel pick up and return.

I also took this trip in 2014 where the boat we were on was a large one where we could climb onto the roof and sunbath while it was moving, and jump off into the sea while snorkelling which was more out to sea than just off the shore at chicken island like this time. NOT AS FUN!

This time it was a small long tail boat which is a nightmare to get in and out of, cannot go the roof and DO NOT SIT ATVTHE FRONT! You will be splashed to death and you cannot see anything as the front of the boat rises high in the water.

Our tour guide was fantastic and his English was very good. Our lunch on Poda island was either chicken curry or a tofu dish which suited vegans and vegetarians etc.

The islands seem to be in no particular order at all as some people say they went to Poda island last, where as we went to it second.

It’s all a gamble but an enjoyable one if you strike lucky!

Nice but overcrowded!

I should start by saying that the tour is worth the money. Nevertheless, the best word to describe this experience is overcrowded, starting from the transfer from the hotel to the pier, continuing with the pier gathering point, following with the long tail boat where we had to sit like three people on a two seats bench and ending with the islands we have visited. Looks like all tour operators are in the same place at the same time so you will easily find yourself on a small beach will 20 other boats filled with people. After this experience, I would have spent a bit more hoping to get at least decent space during the cruise time...

This is one of the best tours in Thailand.

4 for the price of 1!

Not only can you sunbathe and relax on each island, they even give you the opportunity to snorkel off the side of the boat if you wish.

On this tour you visit four islands including Poda where you may even see some native monkeys while you lunch.

We paid roughly £18 for the whole day and this included lunch and unlimited water and hire of the snorkel gear- overall excellent value.
