About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- X6491TDnancyk0 contributionsGreat ecotour, with light currentsWhat a beautiful and unique ecosystem rhat has been restored. We had a great guide with lots of knowledge about the area and was very accommodating to a few nebbies on the trip. Thise of us that are experienced kayakers this was a beautiful and serene excursion away from the hustle and beach. Its about an hour drive from Paradise Island but worth the experience. Would recommend this trip!Written 18 March 2024
- 406jonathanp0 contributionsPricey for what you get!First off, our guide was amazing and a great guy (Andrew). The tour itself is just limited to a small area. There were a few fish, 1-2 birds and that was it. If it's your time kayaking then it's an okay experience, but if you've kayaked before, it is a pricey tour (not to mention is is far from Nassau). If we could go back, we would not book this tour and it's nothing against the company or the tour guide. They were awesome and very communicative...just the experience was lacking.Written 7 February 2024
- 53daniellef0 contributionsGreat experience! This area is absolutely gorgeous!! We saw so much wildlife, and the tour guide was excellent. Having a student who knows all about the ecosystem made the kayaking so much more fun, and we learned so many things!! Highly recommend doing this - absolutely incredible!!!Written 26 October 2023
- stephen p0 contributionsFun excursionAndrew was great. Really nice young man. Kayaking was fun. Lots of fish and we saw a big turtle. I’m glad we took the time to do this one.Written 11 October 2023

- Navigate417898443520 contributionsA Wonderful Nature Excursion!I went on this kayak tour with my mom. It's an easy kayak trip around 1.5 hours. Our tour guide Andrew was very informational, and even scooped up an upside-down jellyfish for us to see, that are very common in mangroves and mudflats! It was a wonderful experience, and I'd recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the wonderful ecosystem Nassau has to offer.Written 25 June 2023
- duyguc4640 contributionsRelaxing sceneryThe scenery is breathtaking, its very calm out there. If you want to slow down abit then thats the perfect place. Our guide (young student, cant remember his name) was very nice, explained us many things. It was a very fun tour. Definitely can recomment it.Written 1 May 2023

- Curious1594110 contributionsOff the beaten path and happy about it!!We had a wonderful time. We enjoy getting off the beaten path and this did it. So different from the rest of the island. Andrew was an amazing and knowledgeable guide!Written 24 January 2023
- PinkPineapple410 contributionsGreat, Relaxing Kayak RideAndrew was an excellent guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We appreciated the info he gave us on the birds and marine life. We saw beautiful birds, fish, crab, jellyfish, snails and mangroves on our tour. The water was very calm and relaxing. Bring a waterproof bag to keep your belongings dry just in case there are showers. There were a few mosquitos towards the end of the trip so you may want some insect repellent.Written 23 December 2022

We appreciated Sashay’s tour. She took us through interesting areas and knew a lot about the historical and cultural contexts of the places she showed us. She was friendly, fun and open to talking about her own experience as someone who grew up on the island. Highly recommended!

We had an awesome time with our tour guide! She answered all our questions and told us about so much the city and island’s history. She was very patient with both my elderly mother and her friend. She slowed the pace and allowed them time to rest in the shade when needed. I would recommend this tour for all ages!!

We just returned from our tour and we couldn’t be happier. True, our guide , was extremely knowledgeable and very well organized. There was not a question she couldn’t answer. Nassau is a beautiful city and the history of Bahamas is very interesting. A beautiful afternoon. My kids loved it too and our guide was incredible!

The tour has a bit of all types of information and the guides are very fun! I would recommend for all types of people to take this tour!

True was a great tour guide! We were very fortunate to have her almost all to ourselves with just one other (very lovely) person on the tour with us. With just 3 of us along for the walk, we were able to ask a ton of questions that True knew the answer to all of them. We learned a lot and would very highly recommend True as a guide.

True is a very knowledgeable guide to Nassau and made sure that we saw all the sights a tourist would want to catch, plus a few hidden gems. Her explanations of Nassau's culture and history were fascinating, and we learned even more than we were expecting. You cannot go wrong choosing this tour.

Sure I'll go lay on the beach and soak up the rays and waves, but first gimme a chance to see some cultue and history firsthand! In just a 2 hour tour downtown Nassau you can travel in time from Pirate days to Paradise days with a fun little walking tour. Our guide was great and also knew everyone would like to shop afterwards so she pointed out the spots along the way.. we had a fun time with other couples and a little family and then hung out in town to double back to the stores and market - don't miss it!

Okay the title is corny but I had to do it. True was our tour guide and she was a blast to hang out with. She was very easy to talk to and put up with my husband for almost 3 hours!!! My husband is so smart and knowledgeable so he engaged her in lots of discussion and had very specific questions about Bahamian history and its relation to both US history and English history. Not once did she hesitate and she was very very knowledgeable about everything we had to ask. We are young millennial parents on the verge of 30 with an 8 year old daughter so we are pretty liberal and very curious about the way others live. True was with us for almost 3 hours and never acted like we were holding her up from anything. It was very go with the flow and she went with our pace. We definitely took longer than most people I have read reviews on. Our 8 year old was exhausted afterwards because it is a lot of walking and lots of hills. We walked all the way up to the peak of the island. I don’t know that I would recommend it for parents with younger kids unless they were young enough to be in a stroller. There wasn’t much to hold our daughter’s attention but she is a mature 8 so she engaged in conversation with us about some things. True showed her how to break almonds with a rock so it was nice of her to include our daughter.

We booked this last minute, and it ended up just being the two of us plus our guide. She was GREAT! We walked around for 2 hours, hearing all about the history of the Islands, learning about the local plants and taking in all the historical buildings. We visited the Queens Staircase, and walked up to the top of the town to overlook it (where we were provided with a cold water and a needed bathroom break!). This is SO worth the time and money. We felt that we got to know the island way more than just walking around by ourselves. Book it, you won't be disappointed. This was easily my favorite part of our vacation.... :)

Hello Sondra,
Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. There tour itself does not include entrance to any forts and museums on the route. The points of interest that we pass on the tour are, woodes Rodgers monumen,Pompey Museum of slavery and emancipation, Nassau straw market, Rawson and Parliment square, Nassau public library, the royal Victoria, Fort Fincastle, Queens Staircase, Government House. Sometimes after the tour the guide will offer an extra step to tasty teas where they sell local Bahamian teas beverages and medicinal teas of The Bahamas.

How difficult is the walk and how fast a pace do they go?
Trueranda C
Nassau, New Providence Island1 contribution
The walk is not very difficult at all. There is a small portion of the tour that we walk a bit up an incline off of a designated path as well as down the Queen Staircase. With the exception of those two areas, the walk is generally easy going. As far as the Pace goes we try to find the natural balance of the group. Our guides are willing to go as fast or slow as you need them to go.

Is it possible to do this tour with a baby stroller?
Trueranda C
Nassau, New Providence Island1 contribution
It is possible to do the tour with a stroller. There are a few spots where you will have to lift the stroller. Your guide would be more than happy to provide assistance when you approach areas that require the stroller to be lifted.
