Experience Jamaica's countryside and beaches on horseback. Beginning and advanced riders are both welcome on this adventure that takes you on horseback through the Jamaican countryside, past sugar cane plantations and other historic sites. The trail leads to a white sandy beach where you can disembark or ride your horse right into the surf. Hotel pickup and drop-off from either Ocho Rios or Runaway Bay is included for ease.

What to Expect

The adventure begins with pickup at your hotel in Ocho Rios or Runaway Bay and a drive to the stables, where you get a safety briefing and are fitted for a helmet and horse. No horseback riding experience is necessary to enjoy this mellow ride through the countryside. See a side of Jamaica beyond the tourist resorts as you ride past historic sugar cane plantations and castles dating back almost five centuries.

When you reach a secluded beach, you can dismount and walk on the sand, or ride your horse right into the shallow surf. Look for herons and sea birds while you relax on the shore or splash in the waves.

Great time with family on horses in the ocean

Hooves provided our family of 10 with a great morning ride. Horses are all rescues and in fine shape. Kids were ages 12 to 18 and all enjoyed it. For real horse folks it is a low level all-in a-row trip which wasn't exciting. But...More

Amazing Horse Ride

This was the most amazing horse ride ever. We first traveled and were educated about the historic grounds. Then ended with a ride in the ocean. The horses were very friendly along. The tour guides were awesome and educated.

I think you should contact them directly and set up a pick up at your cruise ship, which I assume is coming into Ocho Rios, and have them pick you up as part of the package you arrange

Right off the highway. Small sign ...ocean motion. Cant see the horses from highway. There's a shelter there where group meet guides. No built offices.
