- P3100HGscottp0 contributionsGreat trip undergroundWe had an incredible day with our guide Christian! Very knowledgeable about the caves and environment. Highly recommended! ScottWritten 11 January 2025
- mimie6660 contributionsZac made our trip amazing! My husband and I enjoy adventure travel, and so we were excited to see Cole's Cave. I am so glad we booked this trip! The cave was beautiful. However, the most wonderful part of this trip was our guide Zac!! He was knowledgeable, passionate about his island and ecosystems, and really enriched our experience. We felt we were sharing his world and were richer for having done so. Thank you Zac, we will definitely be back.Written 28 April 2024
- Jkarat0 contributionsZac is great, bring the right footwear!Wow! I booked this through Viator and the description does not due it justice. First, you need to be athletic and comfortable in tight quarters and more extreme off the beaten path excursions. Our guide Zac was great and really accommodating given we were a bit nervous once things started going. Minus the huge millipedes and bugs, once you get past that and into the cave it is beautiful. You will have to exert some energy and put your mobility and flexibility to work climbing over walls in water chest deep. Crawl spaces are tight and slippery so good footwear is a must. Definitely recommend for adventurers but know what you are getting into. Zac showed such pride for the island, the cave and giving guests a memorable experience. He also made sure our safety was a priority.Written 17 January 2024
- marysusanandchrism0 contributionsExciting side of Barbados you won’t see on the beaten pathZac Wild was an awesome guide! Very patient, helpful, and chill, telling us where to place our feet or hands while climbing to keep us safe. He picked us up from our resort, and we all went to lunch after the hike because we were so exhilarated! I was the only woman in our group and was nervous about keeping up with fit men, but it was totally worth it to see such a different view of Barbados. Gloves and head lamps were provided, but bring your own sturdy shoes!Written 22 December 2023
- davidpN2648AO0 contributionsUnexpected Spelunking Adventure in Cole's CaveWe had an absolute blast today at Cole's Cave! Zack Wild was our guide and he was full of exuberance and knowledge, both about the cave itself and the plants/animals that surrounded us along the way. Always conscious of safety (watch your head, step here and then up and over), Zack made sure we had a fun and safe time the whole way. Highly recommended!Written 21 December 2023
- carolynsZ2725FD0 contributionsStrongly recommend, wonderful experience!Zac wild was a great guide, he gave an educational tour and awesome experience on this skilled hike!Written 1 December 2023
- kevinhF1047MA0 contributionsA great experience. Expect some physical effort, and to get wet!It was just Sarah and I on the tour with Zack, and we had an awesome time. Zack knew his stuff, and explained the geology, the flora and fauna, and also gave us a great experience of the cave system. With it being just the two of us, he made it a little more active than I think is typical, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Would definitley recommend to those who want a break from the sun and sea on their holiday. Thanks Zack 😎Written 19 November 2023
- vasilikij20230 contributionsGreat adventure! My group was lead by Zack and had an amazing time! He was very informative and in touch with all things that the cave had to offer, including the plant life along the walk. He was very attentive to the group making sure we were all together and safe throughout. This thrilling hike is not for those who are nervous around bugs! A great time was had by all!Written 14 November 2023
- Relax7681360 contributionsGreat for groups seeking some adventure! We had an amazing time! We were a large group of 8 women seeking a moderate nature activity and this was it! Definitely a thrill seeking activity. Zack was our tour guide and he was wonderful, really took time to point out all of the history of the island and plant and wildlife during the tour. Also was sure to check on us and make sure no one fell, was hurt. All in all a great time!Written 14 November 2023
- Megannoel270 contributionsA MUST DO FOR ADVENTURE SEEKERS!Cole’s Cave hike was the coolest thing we did while in Barbados! If you liked Harrison’s cave but wanted more adventure, this is the activity for you! In this hike you actually get to have a hands on experience with the cave, unlike Harrison’s. Our tour guide, Zach, was exceptional at his job and was so knowledgeable about the native plants and animals. His passion for his home island definitely showed and we learned a lot from him. Not only was he a lot of fun but he made us feel super comfortable the whole experience. Zach was accommodating and didn’t rush us through the hike, he allowed plenty of time for us to explore and take pictures. We highly recommend doing this hike, you’ll regret it if you don’t!Written 14 July 2023
- smartypantsbrazilian0 contributionsRugged adventure funThis was an incredible experience and I am so glad I did it! Most of the Bajan people I talked to while visiting the island heard of Cole's cave but haven't been there as it is an unique experience and tour. Beware that this IS NOT for everyone, there is a considerable level of discomfort one has to get past to accomplish this: the terrain is rugged, there are bugs, worms, bats and darkness. But I promise you will feel super accomplished to get deep into the cave! As you go in deeper, it keeps getting better! My guide Justin was terrific and just pure great vibes. Wear athletic shoes instead of watershoes to walk freely inside and outside of the cave and be prepared to get super wet if you are lucky like I was :-)Written 3 July 2023
- Trail206000 contributionsExtremely strenuous and not particularly interesting at all. Was very difficult to even find the meeting point. This cave tour was extremely strenuous. It is only for the young and very fit. You must have good upper body strength and be able to crab walk for at least 30 yards before you’re able to stand up again in the next cavern. We were a family of 10, ranging in age from 78 to 12. Four family members were not able to participate at due to the difficulty getting down to the cavern entrance. And the tour guide only had six headlamps, which was OK after four family members dropped out. GeeshWritten 2 July 2023
- 645zekeh0 contributionsAwesome Cave HikeWe went on a tour with Zach from Wild Barbados. He was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable! We loved this cave hike!Written 28 June 2023
- 206heidia0 contributionsLots of Work for Great RewardThis experience was fantastic and our guide was an expert. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is physically fit. It required a lot of muscle and endurance but was one of the best experiences we had on the island.Written 27 June 2023
- lisll20230 contributionsWhat an adventure! This is an excellent adventure, thanks so much to Justin for a wonderful time and tour. It's a pretty intense experience, hiking through the passage in the cave and splashing through the underground river with rock pools deep enough to swim in. Beautiful rock formations throughout. Wear some sturdy shoes and be prepared to crawl through some small spaces.Written 19 February 2023
