Aruba Atlantis Submarine Expedition
Board the Atlantis Submarine to explore Aruba's underwater world, an activity suited even for small children or those who can't swim. A ride in this U.S. Coast Guard–certified vessel takes you to 130 feet (40 meters) below the surface of the ocean, where you’ll get views of the Barcadera Reef, local shipwrecks, and Aruba's famous marine life, hearing crew commentary along the journey.
What to Expect
Begin your adventure in downtown Oranjestad, where you’ll get a safety briefing and orientation at the tour center. Then step aboard the tour’s surface vessel for transfer to the submarine. This technologically advanced passenger submarine, certified by the U.S. Coast Guard, makes it possible for even nonswimmers and small children to dive deep below the surface of Aruba’s waters.

Grab a window seat in the submarine and prepare for the dive. Get views of marine life on the Barcadera Reef and see two local shipwrecks. Learn about the marine life you see, the reef ecosystem, and the history of the crashed ships through your crew’s informative commentary.

After you surface and head back to land, you’ll receive an official dive certificate to take home.

I was expecting this to be much more exciting than it was. I was disappointed for the price we had to pay and didn't get to see much. The water was really cloudy.

A New View

Check in was smooth, instructions were clear, the shuttle to the Sub was not pleasurable ( very hot and humid, not much ventilation ), the sub was not too claustrophobic, was cloudy that day so not clearly visible but not the tours fault, went down...More

Great for the entire family!

My family 9 year old son, 7 year old daughter, and 1 year old had the best time with Angie on this trip. She is so entertaining and kind. It was the highlight of our trip.

I would say no, there are stairs down to the “basement” of the boat where the glass windows are. Also, the transition from boat to boat would be difficult.
