      Not worth it .
Tokyo has an amazing public transport system that will get you everywhere but yet despite lukewarm reviews of the Hop on Hop off Skybus in Tokyo we decided to take a one day pass . Note its not 24 hrs but one day which is valid only till midnight of the day you ride on. We decided to start with the first ride of the day ie 9.20 am on the green route as it was long and has less frequency. The ride was good as long as one doesnt get off for if you do ,you are likely to be stranded.Seats were damp and our clothes got wet on disembarking. From the green route we hopped on to the red route and went the entire route without getting off. Unfortunately the bus deployed was not a double decker probably because of the mid day sun. So we couldn't take any photos while sitting . Commentary was dull and uninspiring and the lady who accompanied us kept over talking on the mic . Overall this was by far the worst experience with people either being declined to board at intermediate stops or over crowding and made to sit on small foldable seats in the aisle. After the red route we had lunch and the queued up for the blue route. The route is nice as one gets beautiful views of the bay. We decided to get off at Odaiba and then go back on the metro after exploring Odaiba. Conclusion. Use the HOP on Hop only if you want to sit through entire day and see Tokyo from a bus and if you are short of time to explore the city on your own.People queue up nearly an hour before to board the bus as the number and frequency of buses operated are few . If you are boarding at an intermediate stop chances of getting a seat or being denied boarding is high.

Hop off but you might not get back on
This really is a disaster of a hop on/hop off service. There is no flexibility to their system i.e. this is the time for one bus and if there are too many people or the bus is already full hard luck. You can then wait 1/2 hours for the next planned bus, hoping that it will not also be full. People were being left behind all through and staff could do nothing. My recommendation is travel by metro on cheap full day tickets. You will see more places in the day with less frustration at lower cost.

Very poor service. Don't waste your money.
Absolutely waste of time. Meant to be 3 routes. Plenty buses on red route but few on the green and blue line. Went on red line initially to visit the shining temple. After this was to return to initial starting point and then get either the green route or the blue route We did nit finish the journey as everyone was suddenly told to get off the bus. This was them finished. Done very rudely. Obviously wanting to finish. One of the other route buses we would have had to wait 2 hours and the 3rd one still over half an hour with o guarantee of getting on. Japanese efficiency certainly not working here. Dreadful service, not worth it. AVOID.

A waste of money. So disappointed.
What a disappointment. After waiting in the cold we finally got on the bus to do the Red circuit only to be told that it may not be a good idea to get off, as the bus was so full we may not get back on. Our plan was to also do the Blue and Green circuits but when we got back to base were told we would have to wait an hour and a half (in the cold) for the next bus and there was no guarantee of getting on. What a total waste of our day, money, and time, let alone such disappointment as we left Tokyo the next day.

Don't use this hop on off
The buses are over priced $40us not enough buses you can wait 2 hours or longer and not get a seat as they are full You can wait up to 2hour at the transfer site to change lines. We had to give up and take taxis or subways

Difficult to transition from one route to another
The red route was really good for getting off and back on again. The blue and green route, didn't have as many buses so when you got off you had to wait a long time to get back on again

Great way to overview around Tokyo & areas
Was a great way to see many areas around Tokyo. 3 routes - Green, Red & Blue, only a small overlap in routes, all different areas. Most popular spots. Best to get on early, if you want to have time to do the 3. As it takes a few hours. Clean buses. Well organised. With good audio/languages & interesting information.

Complete waste of time and money
The buses are not frequent like other countries . 2 hour waits for the next bus is not practical. The commentary doesn’t match the location so I threw the ticket in the bin and just took the buses and subway to the sport and was far cheaper
