Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- X8806JUmarkt0 contributionsHotu made our day!We would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to experience the true inner beauty of Tahiti that you would otherwise never see! Our guide, Hotu, was simply amazing. He took time to make multiple stops and educated us on the flora, fauna and the history of the island while other tour operators drove on by! His local knowledge, passion and love for his homeland was infectious! GO (with Hotu) and your trip to the island will be complete!Written 27 December 2024
- Jo_lee19830 contributionsNot bad experience, recommend other tour operatorsPros: on time with collection from the hotel, some knowledge of height during journey and flowers / plants. Was willing to cater to a drop off at a different destination Cons: driver could have been more friendly and welcoming, he didn't seem very happy and we had to ask questions to learn more about where we were and the historyWritten 12 September 2024
- Vacationer952850 contributions4WD ALL DAY EXCURSIONStunning visits with numerous large waterfalls. Absolutely beautiful! The tunnel was interesting as were the eels in the river. The lunch stop accepted US $ or credit cards. Very rocky ride in a relatively comfortable vehicle. 8 1/2 hours excursion! A not to miss opportunity!Written 26 April 2024
- leahl1790 contributionsTahitian paradise.Fantastic tours! Our family of 5 booked the Tahiti West Coast Tour and the Moorea Island Tour through our cruise line. We were highly impressed with not only the places we visited, but the warm welcome and extensive knowledge of our guides Gerald, Simon and Gad. The Polynesian Islands are beautiful and were so glad we had such wonderful guides to share their pieces of paradise with us.Written 26 April 2024

- 495audreym0 contributionsVisiting PapeeteWe at the Hilton Tahiti and it was fantastic. We toured the island. It was fine--nothing exciting. Almost everything shuts down by 4pm. Bars/restaurants still open. There is plenty of bus service. We ventured out in the tourist section by the market.Written 27 March 2024
- telahm0 contributionsTour group with good guidesWe did a snorkel Safari in Mo'orea and in Tahiti with this group. The guides in Tahiti were better, but the snorkel locations much better in Mo'orea. We saw sharks (small harmless ones), sting rays, and beautiful coral in Mo'orea... but the hides were rushing us, only 20 Minutes per Location (2). In Tahiti the guides gave us more time at both locations (although the second location was 3 feet of water and nothing to see).Written 8 March 2024
- dad4140 contributionsGreat Tour of the Whole IslandOur driver/guide Blanc was wonderful. We stopped to take pictures just past the shrimp farm pf shark tooth mountain and flat top. Then up into the hills for a scenic lookout - WOW. We saw the ruins of a religious site. beautiful beaches, the pearl factory, another lookout, drove all around the Island and stopped at Tiki Village.Written 27 February 2024
- U9201VZrobertb0 contributionsA valuable tourThe tour was great. Gerard was a great guide with so much history and information. I really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it.Written 23 February 2024
- JoeO1040 contributionsPerfect introduction to the islands. Our guide, Gerard, was absolutely top notch. His presentations of the people, the culture, the history and the ecology were superb and insightful. He was fluent in English and French and took time to explain everything to the few French speaking tourists among the mostly English crowd. He was a very animated and engaging guide. Highly recommend.Written 19 February 2024
- 562marz0 contributionsGreat valueThe tour was exactly as expected. What made it 5 star was the guide, Gerard, ( not Jerry lol). He was friendly, animated, fun and knowledgeable. His presentation was really great! The driver, Simone, did a really wonderful job navigating small spaces and kept the bus cool. All in all, a good value.Written 19 February 2024
- lizdonfire0 contributionsAmazing views and a day well spent. The views were amazing. We took so many photos. Peto(sp?)was our driver on the tour and he ensured we had a great experience. We were truly in the jungles of Tahiti, with much greenery and plenty of waterfalls to see. We were really high up and it was amazing to see our surroundings. We were lucky enough to see the highest peak(Mount 'Orohena) which is usually hidden by cloud cover. We sprayed with bug spray, but we found the bugs were not too bad. The pit stop before you start your trip is at a little supermarket. I was hoping for a little pastry shop. The restaurant in my opinion was a run down place and I think it could be skipped. It would be better to stay longer at the place where we were able to swim and have a picnic lunch allowing people more time to swim as well. On the whole it was an amazing tour and we are glad we experienced it.Written 19 February 2024
- B2071EDjant0 contributionsGreat experienceTom was our driver on the tour and ensured we had a great experience. We had expected to be packed in like sardines but this was far from what happened. There were several vehicles taking the guests from the ship and a maximum of eight per truck. We had several stops with interesting facts explained at each. On the whole it was one of the best tours we’ve experiencedWritten 27 January 2024
- Shells82140 contributionsLovely relaxed tour of the islandWe had a lovely half day tour as a family of four, one other couple and one other person also joined this shared tour. Lydia was a wonderful tour guide- so personable, knowledgable, and really enjoyed showing off the island. She picked us up at the hotel and the 5 or so hourtour was a great chance to get to know the island and see some of the main lookouts and attractions. We had landed the day prior so it was a wonderful overview of the island at the beginning of the tour. Great tour for the price and really enjoyed having Lydia show us around!Written 14 January 2024

Pick up at the hotel made it convenient. Our guide was very knowledgeable about flora and fauna of the island. The views were spectacular and colorful fallen flowers covered the tropical floor. The hike was on the high end of moderate at times and would recommend walking sticks for hikers over 55. We hiked in May and the path for the most part was dry and we had good traction.

Well marked trail from belvedere lookout. Follow the blue signs to a lookout that provides views of both bays and the south side of the island. Walk over tree roots and rocks, past tiny waterfalls, through a bamboo forest, and up switchbacks near the top. Fun hike that took us about 2 hours each way.

Without the guide this hike would be pretty difficult to navigate as the paths make all kinds of twists and turns. Me and my wife have been hiking a couple times but by no means are we experienced or barely moderate hikers. The hike itself is challenging but well worth I would definitely consider this a moderate hike. There are exposed roots and rocks to climb over constantly going up and down terrain. If it doesn't rain the hike would be much easier but for us it had rained a bit. Our shoes and legs were pretty muddy at the end but nothing we didn't expect. Our guide was great, he was very knowledgable stopped to take breaks and wait for slower members of the group and he constantly switch between English and French to cater to everyone I'm our hiking party which was awesome. The view at the top of the peak is phenomenal and well worth the trip.

I booked this tour a couple of days ago. I received a message that it was paid for and confirmed. Today, I received an email saying that they can't do it tomorrow, would next week be okay? There is no way that I can find to contact Trip Advisor about it. I am afraid that I have now waited too late to be able to schedule anyone to take us on this hike. Very terrible service from this outfit and not very happy with Trip Advisor either. I will think twice about booking through them again.

The hike was great and we learned a lot about the different plant species of Moorea. The views were absolutely amazing too! The hike was pretty moderate, enough to break a sweat but not too bad. Would definitely recommend!

I booked the hike as the description on Viator was “moderate” hike. “Moderate” was nothing short of a complete lie. This was the most challenging and dangerous thing I have ever done. The trail is covered in exposed roots and steep rocks. It did rain the night before so everything was covered in axel grease. 10 minutes into the hike the elderly couple in boat shoes bailed and waited for us at the bottom 4.5 hours later. One portion of the tiny trail had washed away and there was a rope that you had to Tarzan your way over the drop off to get to the other side. The view at the top was cool but I was a little exhausted to appreciate it. Without the guide it would have not been possible. As a side note, my wife is a marathon runner and I am in pretty good shape. If you are an extreme hiker, this is for you.
