We had a fantastic day with Joel’s Journeys. The train trip was memorable travelling in an historic steam train while travelling through beautiful countryside in the Mary Valley reaching our destination of Amamoor. We jumped into the van which is very comfortable and air conditioned ready for the next stop - the Imbil Lookout and then a delicious lunch at Kenilworth. You might like to try one of the donut shop’s donuts while there. They are yummy! Our final stop was the Fig Tree walk which is an easy stroll through the rainforest which was breathtaking. The Moreton Bay Figs are majestic as their branches stretch above the tree canopy. We were lucky enough to see three Mary River cod and a Mary River turtle. Joel is a great tour guide who is passionate about nature providing tour goers with a knowledgeable yet entertaining experience. You’ll have to ask him what bird or birds you are hearing as you walk through the bush. You travel through beautiful countryside, historic Australian towns topped off with a delicious lunch before experiencing the beautiful bush Queensland has to offer which you may not otherwise experience.

We had a great day on our Montville/Maleny tour. Joel was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable of the area and has a passion for the Australian bush. On our rainforest walk Joel was able to point out things you would never notice if walking by yourself, and also knew every bird call. We had a lovely stroll through the Montville village and received a sample box of chocolates. Enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Barn and finished the day with a wine tasting at a winery, then safely delivered back to our accommodation. I would highly recommend Joel’s Journeys Hinterland tour

Joel was lush! Super chatty with great informative facts about the local area not just related to animals or zoo. The bus ride was fun with Joel fun humour and nice atmosphere as a solo traveler was nice to have a laugh. The drive was a scenic route which was pleasant. Communication from Joel’s Journey was amazing and contacted regularly through email. Shame I’m not in noosa for longer - would have done more tours with Joel’s Journeys and would highly recommend.

Four of us had a full, but unhurried, day in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with Joel as our very knowledgeable guide. Montville is a charming village and the views from the Glass House Mountains are spectacular. We sampled the luscious local chocolate and finished the day with a vineyard wine tasting. Probably the most memorable part was a walk through the prehistoric old growth rain forest where Joel's botanic knowledge was invaluable. All in all, it was a marvellous day.

Joel's Glasshouse Mountains tour is a wonderful way to deepen your experience of this beautiful region. Joel is a great guide whose passion and knowledge about the history, geology, plants and animals is totally engaging. Ever changing views of the amazing countryside from the cosy bus, and a great lunch! Mary Cairncross Reserve is awesome, even more so because of Joel's familiarity with the ecosystem and the birds, animals and plants within it. Inspiring and highly recommended.
