- Nick67890 contributionsHighly recommend this private tour with Chris!Chris was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable and also most personable which made our day very pleasant. It was our first time to Barbados and she put together a perfect itinerary - including Speightstown, Animal Flower Cave, Rum Punch stop at local bar, surfing beach, Cherry Tree Hill and Huntes Gardens. We loved every minute!Written 23 March 2025
- jeffjB8821WD0 contributionsDay tour (with Cris) Botanical Garden and Wildlife PreserveCris was the best tour guide! She was super prompt, and gave us great and interesting information, history of the island and answered any questions we asked of her. We enjoyed our day trip with her so much! Can’t wait to come back and cannot recommend Cris enough! What an asset to your tour company! She definitely made our day delightful, thanks again!Written 23 March 2025
- srcenterprises4970 contributionsScenic tripIt was a nice trip! A little tight on seating room, but very informative and beautiful scenery! Stopped at many places along the way and saw some really old churches from the 1600's! Very educational!Written 23 March 2025
- thomaslV245YH0 contributionsWonderful whole day tour at Barbados with SusanWe had wonderful whole day tour with our guide Susan. Pickup was very smooth as was the initial planning of the day. We had a rough plan, which Susan gave slight corrections due to her local knowledge. She drove us around the whole island and showed us the most marvelous places. When we had a beach stop, she just waited patiently and later even clarified per phone, if the one plantation house we wanted to visit was open at the day of our visit. She even showed us places, where the locals go for swimming, which turned out to be a wonderful beach, which was never meantioned in any touristic guide. All in all at extremly wonderful experience!Written 23 March 2025
- suze47350 contributionsLovely way to spend the dayGreat trip, our guide was very friendly and informative. Harrison’s cave is interesting and well organised. Staff are very friendly and well informed. One thing that is a shame, everyone is advised at the beginning not to touch the walls, as the recovery takes so many years. Unfortunately there are selfish idiots who think they are exceptional and that it is acceptable for them to touch them. For us the highlight was Hunte’s garden, that is a piece of heaven. Such a relaxing, beautiful place, I could have stayed there all day. Bathsheba beach also worth the visit, very beautiful and peaceful.Written 23 March 2025
- JamieJWatson0 contributionsA Must-Do Tour in Beautiful BarbadosIf you're wondering why there aren't more reviews for this tour, let me clear that up right now—this is a fantastic tour with a top-notch company. You can book it with confidence, knowing you'll get both quality and safety. And as a general life tip, if you're kind and respectful to the guides and fellow travelers, you'll have an even better time. Why Every Tour Needs a Guide Like Charles Charles is the kind of guide every tour needs. He’s personable, knowledgeable, and keeps things moving. Most stops have scheduled time slots, so he adjusted things as needed to ensure we saw everything. That’s just real-world logistics, folks. The Van Ride and Why a Cooling Towel is Your New Best Friend You’ll spend a decent amount of time in the van, especially on the way back. That’s just part of touring an island where hotels and resorts are scattered all over. The company does a smart thing by picking people up in groups and then dividing them into their specific tours at the first stop. It keeps things efficient, but just be prepared for some drive time from there on. The van has AC, but with the hills and turns, it can feel a little stuffy, and let’s be honest—it’s warm. That’s why you came to Barbados, right? If you get carsick, consider taking precautions. A cooling towel made a huge difference for me—just wet it, add a little ice at stops, and you’re set. I used the Sukeen 4 Pack Cooling Towel (40"x12"). Cold bottled water is also available, which helps. And remember, you came to Barbados for the warm weather! The island isn’t just a resort and an airport—it’s worth exploring. Tour Highlights Bathsheba Beach is stunning, with massive rock formations rising from the sand and waves crashing against the shore. We dipped our feet in the water and took in the view, but I would have loved a little more time here. We got about 10 minutes, which was shorter than planned to keep the overall schedule on track, but even a quick stop was worth it. Barbados Wildlife Reserve is home to an impressive number of tortoises, along with peacocks, chickens, and more. Of course, you’ll see the famous green monkeys! The monkeys get fed fresh fruit, so they aren’t shy about showing up. Just a word of advice—look up every now and then unless you want an unexpected "souvenir" from above. St Nicholas Abbey is packed with history and still fully operational today. We met the owner, who was surprisingly funny and clearly treats his team well. The tour takes you through the rum-making process from sugarcane crushing to bottling. There’s also an old film about the island’s history, followed by a tasting session. Another 10 to 15 minutes here would have been nice, but it was still a highlight of the day. Cherry Tree Hill offers one of the most breathtaking views on the island. No activities here—just a chance to take in the scenery and snap some photos. Lunch at Sand Dunes Bar and Restaurant was a standout meal. Flying fish, macaroni pie, rice, garden salad, and potato salad—authentic Bajan food that put resort buffets to shame. If you want real local flavors, this is it. Harrison’s Cave is an incredible underground cave system explored by tram. Be sure to complete the waiver before tour day, or you won’t be able to go in. The island is made of coral and limestone, not volcanic rock like many other islands in the region, and that’s why the tap water in Barbados tastes amazing. Unless you have a deep love for sparkling water, stick with the still water here—it’s naturally filtered through the island’s limestone. Final Thoughts This tour is absolutely worth it. The sites are stunning, the pacing is well thought out, and you get a real sense of the island beyond the resorts. Just be ready for some driving, bring a cooling towel, and enjoy the adventure.Written 22 March 2025

- carolinek2620 contributionsGreat day on the beach and snorkel! This was a great day! We got to spend a few hours on the beach under an umbrella then off to the boat for a 2-stop snorkel. First we saw a sting ray, multiple tarpon and other fish, then next stop was at a shipwreck with so many fish! And yet another sting ray was on the bottom. It was a great deal and a nice group of guides.Written 20 March 2025
- Jet171826049960 contributionsSwimming with the fishesWe enjoyed our short boat trip & snorkelling. Although we didn’t see any turtles we did see a variety of colourful fish, a boat wreck and a stingray. The staff were very helpful in describing how to use the equipment and very encouraging of my wife who was not confident in her abilities. A rum punch at the end of the trip slipped down well! The trip was one of our holiday highlights!Written 20 March 2025

Well worth the trip to Harrison's Cave, a helpful guide, ours was Sandra, talks you through and stops along the way for photo opportunities. There is a gift shop there where you can buy Mount Gay rum which seemed reasonably priced. There was an adventure park there which looked good but you would have to book a different tour to have that included.
Lunch was a quick stop at a basic but good restaurant, the food was delicious, you had to pay extra if you have an alcoholic drink.
St Nicholas Abbey was interesting with a tour of their rum factory, detailing how it is made and a chance to eat sugar cane.
The house is interesting as a museum.
The cafe was wonderful surrounded by lush palm trees, we were under a canopy of red parasols with a musician playing romantic music on two steel drums, paradise.
There is a steam train there but you would have to book another tour to have that included.
We then stopped at Bathsheba, an amazing east coast spot with the Atlantic coast line at its wild best.
One final stop for a photo opp with great views and a few gift stalls.

Hats off to Vida at Coconut Grove for booking advice and admin and Kwame for driving and guiding. What seemed expensive turned out to be worth every penny, each stop of our journey offered another incredible experience of nature and man's contribution to it. Kwame was knowledgeable and happy to share his knowledge and offer a Barbadian perspective to historical event. Highly organised and professional operation,

We had a fantastic day with our guide Chris Ellis. She was fun, patient, knowledgeable, and built the tour around what we specifically wanted to do, while making useful suggestions. We felt like we were travelling with a friend. She was very professional but also relaxed and warm.

We went on two tours with this company. The first was very nice and everyone seemed to really enjoy it, but The Harrison's Cave, Gardens, and St.Nicholas Abbey was a disappointment, and yet was the most expensive of the two. My complaints were: the tour was listed as maximum 8 people., We had 10. Harrison's Cave was a no brainer. It's listed as a top ten natural world wonder. It is. Save money and go see that by itself. The Gardens, while very nice is a 30 min stop at most. And finally, The St. Nicholas Abbey (which it is not, and never was), was a quick at look at three rooms with old furniture, and then off to be sold rum. Lunch, (included), was at some roadside outdoor restaurant, which served the worst food we had on our trip. Other than the cave tour, this trip was a disappointment.

Amazing activities, St. Nicholas Abbey and Hunts Gardens are so Rich in history. Caves were really fun too. Suggestion for improvement; allow more time at St. Nicholas abbey as we felt rushed and encouraged to hurry by our drover whilst the rum tasting was still in full swing. All in all, great daytrip with interesting places to see and experience.

Today we did a three visits tour, Harrisons Caves, Huntes Gardens and St Nicholas Abbey. All 3 locations were excellent but just way too rushed, we missed a lot of the Abbey tour due to time pressure. Our driver really had to rush to get us around, and this was a very quiet traffic day as they remarked which was just as well. Don't book a 3 stop tour, 2 at most and check the time allotted for each. Lunch was nice but again quick, beeped to get back on board quicker and the gent at Huntes Gardens, so welcoming, asked us to mention that you need more time, a very common complaint from visitors. Afraid this was very overpriced, rushed and disappointing as a result. A shame as the locations are all beautiful. And being offered a discount on a future tour? Give it to your driver, he looked the most stressed guy I've ever seen on the island.

We had a wonderful tour that started with pick up from our hotel. Our tour guide and driver, Charles, was very informative and friendly! We went to the Wildlife Reserve, St. Nicholas Abbey, and Harrison’s Cave. We did the train ride at the plantation and the tram ride at the cave. We had a plentiful lunch at Sand Dunes Bar & Restaurant. Running shoes are a must for this excursion day! The wildlife reserve and caves can be slippery. Definitely highly recommend the Wildlife Reserve and Harrison’s Cave. St Nicholas Abbey offered the most amazing view at Cherry Tree Hill. Round trip day from pick up to drop off was about 8 hours. Amazing memorable day! Thank you Charles for taking great care of us!

Our activity was split into two trips because Harrison Caves were unexpectedly closed on our original booking day. Our driver/guide, Gyne, was fantastic. He is knowledgeable and makes the trip really interesting. After the trip to the cave we accidentally left our 4 year old grandson's mask in the taxi. We contacted Glory Tours and asked if they could find it and keep it for the second part of the activity. This wasn't good enough for Gyne, he made a special journey to return the mask to our hotel. What great personal service.
Harrison Caves are a 'must see' if you are in Barbados. It is a terrific tour.
St Nicholas Abbey is very interesting - a Jacobean House rather than an abbey. You can see the rum production from cane to bottling - and have a taste.
Feeding the monkeys was great for the 4 year old boy. The wildlife park is fun with so much to see.
Lunch is included in this activity which was excellent. Finally, we were driven back via the east coast road with interesting conversation and information.
If you go to Barbados book your activities with Glory Tours - you won't be disappointed.

Harrison’s Cave was spectacular and our tour of St Nicholas Abbey was both beautiful and interesting!
But the highlight of our tour was our driver (Winston Marshall). He was very friendly and very knowledgeable and told us everything about the island (not just the sights we were visiting) from history to geology to customs.
Best trip we had ever experienced!

Though we had an okay time, it was not great. We saw some common things but had little time. There was a lot of confusion as to what we were doing and the ride was really long. It would better to just grab a taxi to each sight. Though the driver was greatly informative and great. The limited time each place made it rushed.
