This was a great combination of sailing the beautiful Tasman Sea to Anchorage Bay and then walking the amazing coastal back to Marahau. It was a great day, and I would do it again!

Beautiful walk, easy to follow. Afternoon cruise topped every expectation. The catamaran was spotless, the never ending supply of tea, coffee and cookies, the crew beyond friendly and super knowledgeable. 11/10!

Really enjoyed this boat trip and self guided walk. The boat was great, really pleasant sailing and nice occasional commentary from the skipper. We ordered the picnic - which maybe wasn’t worth the price - but very convenient to have the option of ordering it. We took the boat in the morning and walked the afternoon, but I’d suggest doing it the other way around - then it’s super convenient to have them bring a picnic for you and you’ll be ready for a swim at Anchorage before boarding the boat.

Beautiful day. The skipper and crew gave us lots of information about the area. So magical sailing with sail through a beautiful part of the world.

The whole package was amazing. The morning trip on The Shuttle was good, the walk out around the point of the peninsula in the cool of the morning had fantastic views. Back in Anchorage we swam in the beautiful clear water before joining the catamaran. My husband, a keen sailor, was allowed to take the helm! The skipper and crew made the trip fun for everyone. They especially encouraged the younger people to participate. This was one of the best days of our brilliant holiday on The South Island.

Easy booking through Victor, description very accurate. Ran right on time. Big, comfortable catamaran sailboat for the afternoon sail. Number of passengers allowed makes for non-crowded conditions. Friendly crew. It would be very nice if they added a 3 or 5 kayak's on the boat (as a competitor does) so that passengers can take a short kayak during the hour between when the sailboat boat arrives at Anchorage Bay and when it departs an hour later if they don't want to hike or swim.

A wonderful journey along the Abel Tasman coast, which is stunning! The skipper Mark and in particular Richard who was crewing, were friendly and informative. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because we weren’t properly under sail. However, that’s no fault of theirs. Had the wind have been up it would have been 5 stars all the way. Made friends on the cruise too resulting in a great day!

My wife and I visited New Zealand in 2019 and had booked to do this cruise. Sadly, a broken ankle meant that Karen could not do the tour at that time, so she was very pleased to be able to do it in 2024 The cruise took us into the Abel Tasman national park and dropped us off at Anchorage beach We then did the walk to Pitt Head and Te Puketea beach, where one of our party of 4 swam. After the swim, we walked back to Anchorage beach and had some lunch. Shortly after, the catamaran arrived, and it was comforting to see that the boat offered some shade - that had not been the case in 2019. The skipper, Rik (?), was very entertaining and accommodating, and as there was not much wind, the return to Kaiteriteri beach was under power. Rik offered several of the passengers the chance to take the helm, and we were very pleased to have a go. He also navigated the boat into an area that would not normally be possible, because of the tides. All in all, it was a great day out and we would recommend this to anyone looking for a way to experience the Abel Tasman national park

The trip was stunning and I recommend it to everyone. The crew were kind and ready to offer information. The scenery is the best I have ever seen. We loved every minute!

Fabulous day in an incredible park. The communication we got in advance made it easy to leave car, hike in and meet the boat. Appreciated all the information the skipper shared about the area. Very comfortable sailing and smooth transfer back to our car at the end.

Well organized Tour. The water taxi to Anchorage was somehow crowded. The catamaran was very beautiful and had enough space. We were missing the seal colonies and other marine life of which we did not see much. All in all a good experience in untouched nature with wonderful views of lonely beaches and an outstanding water colour.

We were a school group. Brilliant way to finish an exhausting school camp, we had walked part of the Abel Tasman track the previous day, so a relaxing sail on our final day was an awesome way to finish.

The boat was great, the staff friendly. Best weather conditions made the trip an excellent experience as we passed all interesting viewpoints at the tour very close.

We had a wonderful time on our Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures Sail, Seals & Walk full day tour. Our catamaran captain, Mark, did a great job showing us the beauty and sharing some history of the area as we sailed along the coastline. Then, we enjoyed a nice ~4 hour self-guided walk from Anchorage Bay back to Marahau. Afterward, we treated ourselves to a beer at the cafe near the car park. A perfect day!
