we did an 11 hour flight from Nz to Singapore with Singapore airlines, and that was great but As SilkAir is supposedly Singapore airlines budget version it was terrible for 700$ paid for a 1 and a half hour flight As well. I wont be flying SilkAir again because they serve you slop, and for Business class the least they could do was give you a screen to watch tv on plus they fly so low, and it made my stomach very sore flying with them. thankfully they ceased not long ago!.

Helpful Ground Service Crew in Medan

I have been taking Singapore Airlines and Silk air for a long time but never Have I felt the special mile that a ground crew would be so helpful towards passenger till my last trip from Medan to Singapore. In covid times like this, there are many rules which changes on daily basis and during these tough times for airlines, it would also be the time for airline to evaluate and go the extra mile for passengers during this time in terms of service for the airline to convert more loyal passengers. I would like to express special thanks to Mr JERRY KOH who had been helpful to my wheelchaired father when I was travelling with my 6 year old and dependent parents. He still followed the rules but willing to go the extra mile for us which the local crew were v unhelpful. Thank you Mr Jerry.

Worst flight

I experienced the worst customer services while travelling from Kathmandu, Nepal to Singapore with silk airlines. Hope that's my first and last flight with this airline.

Singapore to Bali March 2020

I flew with Silkair on 14th March just as travel was starting to change due to Covid19. The flight was half empty so I had 3 seats to myself so plenty of room to spread out. I was on an early flight so slept most of it but I did have breakfast which despite a very anemic looking sausage was very tasty. Silkair is definitely Singapore airlines poorer cousin but despite this it was a very pleasant flight from Singapore to Bali and the planes have a quaintness to them. The staff where helpful and the flight passed quickly.

Manado to Singapore on MI273 in Jan 2020

This was the return leg of my short dive trip to Manado in Jan 2020. Another totally packed flight on Silk AIr. I checked in early so didn't have to wait too long, but I noticed quite a long queue beginning to form after I arrived - not the most efficient check-in process. Another mediocre meal on board - a very big difference to Singapore Airlines, that's for sure. Arrived about 15 mins late into Singapore due to thunderstorms around the time of arrival.
