The airline, Egyptair, was very outdated for both there and back. The food I couldn’t eat as it was spicy chicken or beef. My partner didn’t eat it on the way back as it was unpleasant. We were only offered two drinks on a 5hr flights on the way there. On the journey back we were offered one drink as apparently, they said you had to go to the back of the plane to get a drink if you wanted one. This should have been made aware to passengers. The plane is dirty, there was a sticky sweet of some kind stuck on my seat, so I had to use the inflight emergency card to sit on to protect my clothing. It’s a grubby plane to say the least and the staff aren’t very good with their English and consistently looked miserable if you ever saw them. There was no AC on the outbound flight and the TV didn’t work properly, making a 5hour flight very uncomfortable. On the way back someone had ‘been very poorly’ in one of the toilets and the staff did clean it but not with bleach or sanitiser so I was worried to use it, having already spent a week in on the boat in my cabin poorly. My partner just held it in as he didn’t want to risk it. As a result of no food on the plane outbound I last ate at 12pm on the day of departure, the flight left at 2pm and I didn’t eat until the following day as we didn’t get to our hotel until gone midnight. Let alone have adequate fluids, and after the heat I felt extremely unwell.
