I flew from Heathrow to Cairo, to connect to Johannesburg and this happens to be one of the worst airline experiences I have ever had. The plane was falling apart, TV screens do not work, or it decides what it wants you to view when you touch the onscreen, as remotes are either damaged or missing or not working correctly. On take off the overhead storage popped open, flight attendant closed it and few minutes later it popped open again, but this time the customer sitting directly under this closed it as the flight attendant did not get up again to close it. The seats and tables were Extremely dirty, there were stains on the seats and the headrest, pockets had not been cleaned/emptied out from previous flight, nor between seats and the window, there was rubbish from the previous flight still there. The plane was completely run down. The lunch was edible, but breakfast was inedible as it had a very off smelling aroma, the bread roll was the only item I could eat from the serving that was offered. Compared to other long-haul flights the flight attendants had no care for its non-Arab speaking passengers, made no effort to make you feel welcome. Your beverage options are EXTREMELY limited, a juice and a bottle of water the juice was warm to the touch which I left as I do not drink fruit juice, no soft drinks were offered. Such unorganised boarding process, we took off later than scheduled and had to scramble to catch my connecting flight with minutes to spare. Bathroom had also not been cleaned out correctly, rubbish from previous flight left in bin, bathroom was not stocked properly, 1 toilet roll in holder and no extras to be seen and half-used hand soap. Plane had no blankets for the passengers in Economy seats only for those in Business class. And this was an evening flight, even though the captain did adjust the setting so that plane was not that cool I was extremely cold the whole night even though I had on a sweater. Business class was not that full, yet they refused to give the Elderly people on flight some blankets which I find very unfair. The Airline only shows a video of the safety precautions on screens infront of your seat, but those whose screens were not working did not get to see the precautions!!! Please save yourself the Headache, and Anxiety!! HORRENDOUS SERVICE!!!! Disgusting service, genuinely dreading the fact that my return flight is booked with this airline I would NEVER fly with them again. PS!!! my bag has also been broken Brand new bag and they managed to break of the handles.…
