Rude and unhelpful staff both in the plane and in the terminal. Service was rude, questions unanswered, requests unmet. Requested a wheel chair upon arrival for a passenger with limited mobility, and didn’t get one. Had to walk to the terminal shuttle instead. Old cabin furnishings (seats, screen). Mediocre food and snacks. Peak moment was when I went to ask for water and I was scolded for asking for too much. Water. Not alcohol, not food. Water. If you’re an international airline and you’re rationing water for your passengers, you’re doing it wrong.

Heathrow Fire debacle NO refund from Austrian Air

Do NOT use this airline.We had three business class tickets from Zurich to Vienna and got caught up in the Heathrow fire and could not get to Europe until the Austrian part of our trip was no longer doable. The tickets for three ONE wasy wer $1500.00! Austrian only refunded $100.00!! They were mean, nasty, and not accommodating at all. Avoid them at all costs

Bad communication and help

Poor feedback, can only be heard via email. Slow response when they lost our car seat and stroller. Was supposed to get a refund and then they changed their mind. Can't tell why I want get a refund.

Horrible experience.

Horrible customer service. Flight overbooked and forced to wait for bags for two hours. DO NOT RECCOMEND!!! RETHINK YOUR TRIP!

Don’t fly Austrian…..ever

Incredibly poor and arrogant customer service. Nothing wrong with the outbound VIE-BKK flight (OS015) though nothing exceptional either (the much vaunted food was far from brilliant ). My wife became ill while we were in Koh Samui and had to be hospitalised. This in turn meant first postponing then cancelling our return flights. I had booked Business Flex flights precisely to guard against this possibility and confirmed that we were due a full refund on the cancelled return flights, actually with Swiss but booked on an Austrian ticket (which made Austrian responsible for the refund). They (Austrian) offered me GBP408 per passenger, whereas the inbound leg would have been at least GBP1000 (I don’t have the precise breakdown but memory tells me that out of a total ticket price of GBP2716 pp the inbound sector could not have been less than GBP1000). No amount of cajoling could persuade Austrian to look again at their offer or to divulge the exact cost of the inbound sectors. Nor would they confirm the basis of their derisory offer or the conditions under which the refund was calculated. They basically said: ‘that’s our offer - take it or leave it’ I have always had very satisfactory dealings with the other members of the LH group (Swiss and Lufthansa) but this lot defy logic. Never again. PS the Business Class ‘lounge ‘ at Vienna Airport was bleak and uncomfortable.
