Congratulations, Alitalia has jumped straight in at no 1 of my don’t fly again list - well done! Flew Heathrow to Rome, refreshments were soft drinks and a small packet of savoury biscuits. Flight to Santiago - worst long haul flight ever. Uncomfortable seats, very little leg room - my partner’s knees were touching the seat in front. Drinks trolley...

Alitalia had the only non-stop flight from Miami to Rome, so I used them. Originally I booked Premium Economy and then a week or so before my flight they sent me an email to bid on Business Class if I wanted. The meter on their website rated my bid of $400 as good, but I didn't get it. At the...

Jhb to Rome in economy class on 1 Feb was better than expected after reading many bad reviews of Alitalia. We paid a bit extra for comfort seats on the Rome / Milan route. Service & food was good on both legs & a second glass of wine with dinner was absolutely no problem. Breakfast was a warm chocolate chip...

Comfort was ok, probably my seat was a little bit small (I’m 1.90 mt tall) but in general the flight was good. Food better than I expected before taking off!

This is the rest of my story. The flight from Rome to JFK had the worst air service EVER. Ground staff who are arrogant. Flight staff who don't care at all. I sent emails and called Alitalia's customer service. The email said we understand you had a complaint about the flight. Next email said closed. The phone service tells me...

The seats of the flight from Rome to Narita were very tight. Compared to other airlines, I felt uncomfortable. I did not feel so from Narita to Rome. The flight is 3 -4-3 seats. Other service were normal. It might be old aircraft.

Our trip home from Rome was NOT Amazing. I tried multiple times to do Precheck-in online but the Alitalia site would kick me out and no one would answer their phone. I then called Delta (Original booking company)and spoke to a very helpful agent who informed me that we have to check in at the airport. We arrived 3.5 hours...

This trip didn’t start well from the get go with a lot of attitude from ground staff not being able to help and being rude. It continued in the flight as because of excess “hand” luggage from passengers by the time I got to my seat there was no space in the overhead lockers. The flight attendant suggested I put...

The fly was smooth but the airplane was a pretty old model of Boing 777. The crew was really professional and competent. The food was good and served fully customized in order to meet the customer request. I would have appreciated a newer airplane but unfortunately, this company seems to do not have enough money to afford those expenses.

I was lucky enough to snag a bargain business class seat from MEX to LHR (via Rome) when Alitalia started flights on this route. The 1-2-1 config gives everybody aisle access and the odd numbered window seats have lots of privacy. The lie-flat beds are excellent. The highlight is the food - excellent Italian fare with great wines and real Lavazzi...
