Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

THE worst airline in the history of Airlines. I have used all sorts of carriers on my travels and this has to be the worst of them all. If you like getting screwed over by the staff, ripped off by the ticket agent, ignored, humiliated and stressed, then this is the airline for you. The person "working" the checkin counter was literally the laziest subpar human I have ever encountered and should be fired from her job immediately. Her name is Apple Kamiro and she was more interested in texting than working. We waited to be helped while we were ignored in the premier econ line for 10 minutes. Eventually we had to ask to be helped and she was super pissed to have to work. So much so that she forced us to check our tiny luggages and put us at the back of the plane (unbeknownst to us until boarding). She also forgot to give us our passports back, I had to remind her after she hastily got back to her phone to continue texting with her friends. The nightmare from the checkin disaster only continued from there when we tried to resolve the improper seats and wasted premium econ tickets but were essentially ignored by all the staff. The plane was dirty, stuffed, smelly and just a complete nightmare. We essentially had to beg to be allowed to get the premium seating we paid for from the beginning. Meaning we weren't sitting in row 31 next to the toilet. Do not fly this airline, it is a nightmare. Expect to be treated like garbage and only when they know their jobs may be on the line because you start taking names will they do the right thing.

I was being at the begining of the plane and wanted to get to the toilet. Obviously i'd head for the closest one which is at the front of the plane, not the back one. The flight attendant Flora blocked access to it with a table of sorts, and she was there chatting with the pilot. I asked her politely to let me go through to the toilet. She was like, asked me to go use the one all the way to the back. I said but this one is free, i want to use this one. SHe then said that it's company policy that when the captain is out that we cannot go past. And i was like: (in my mind) why is that my problem? Stop talking, and be here to do your job as flight attendant !? I then said ok i will wait; then briefly she removed the blockage and i could use the toilet. These staff definitely need training to be professional and stop impending customers for doing their basic needs just for their personal (not professional) flings.

Waiting for refund for 11 months. Still no refund even after complaining to Civil aeronautics board of the philippines. They keep sending canned messages that they are processing it even after asking for my bank account details over 2 months or so ago. Terrible. DO NOT FLY WITH THEM.

There are some odd rules on the usage of the trolleys or luggage carts — AirAsia does not allow you to use these in Kansai airport but other airlines can? I don’t know if the airports charge the airlines for these or how the system works but it is awful having to watch people queue up and carry their luggage when there are children and elderly people travelling with them. AirAsia gave us the excuse of “safety precautions” for not allowing the use of the cart but having to haul around 3 pieces of luggage plus carry on bags with elders and children in tow in my opinion is more challenging to balance and less safe. Also does this mean that EVA air doesn’t care about safety? Really this was a lame excuse but one will have to live with the system when going through Kansai with AirAsia. Further the flight smelled of vomit and faint poo. The seats were crummy and itchy. Also on a previous trip to Bali DPS airport AirAsia broke my luggage and when I complained they said I should have taken a photo while checking in so I could show the before and after so they couldn’t help me at all. Honestly who takes photos of their checked luggage. There are other better budget airlines out there.

Calling AirAsia the worst airline is an understatement. They intentionally delay flights for more than 4hours and they greet you with horrendous on-ground service. The aircraft is extremely outdated with seats cushions that have cracks and gets detached easily. Flight crew also appears to be way behind in training if compared to other carriers.

Eva air allowed for use of trolleys but AirAsia does not allow this. If they see you with your trolley they ask you to take off your bags and carry these even if you have elders or kids with you and large luggage!
